Preventions

Before you get the flu the best way to prevent is to get the shot if you think it will help more than harm you. It also helps to keep your hands washed, avoid close contact to sick people, and clean/disinfect surfaces as much as possible. If you have the flu but want to keep others from getting it try to cover your coughs and sneezes with your elbow, be mindful where and what you wipe your nose on, also keep your hands washed and try to stay home and make the least amount of contact with as many people as possible because it is really easy to spread the flu since it is an airborne disease.
